Social Media SIG meeting

As Bananarama (and Ella Fitzgerald before them) once sang, ‘It ain’t what you do it’s the way that you do it.’ Could this be the key to unlocking LinkedIn, the thermal vest of the social media world (practical but eminently unsexy)? Could LinkedIn prove useful if we thought about how we were using it instead of slapping up some blah and then never visiting again?

In our last meeting we covered why you should know why you want to be on LinkedIn, how your headline and summary are what people read first and how your profile and public profile differ.

In this meeting we’re going to put it into practice and work together on our headlines and summaries. Come along with some idea of what you’re trying to achieve on LinkedIn as well as your headline and summary, however tragic. The meeting is for the clueless and clueful alike.

If you didn't attend the last meeting, see my presentation in the SIG social media forum for tips and links. No presentations this time, just group discussion.

The venue is the Watt zaal at Nieuwe Energie, 3e Binnenvestgracht 23, 2312 NR Leiden. It’s within walking distance of the train station and close to the Langegracht or Lammermarkt car parks.
