Artificial intelligence is changing many people’s daily work and language professionals are no exception. Some people believe that translators and editors are, or soon will be, redundant. They are, of course, mistaken. Translation and editing are both so much more than just changing words. As language professionals, we instinctively know this, but how do we get the message across to others, most notably our clients? And how do we avoid sounding like Luddites?
At this online meeting on 7 March at 19:00, we will discuss what language professionals bring to the table and create a list of compelling arguments as to why our services cannot simply be replaced by computers.
For practical reasons, please register by Wednesday 6 March at the latest if you would like to attend.
