Grand Café Public (www.grandcafepublic.nl) is a 10-minute walk from the train station or if you’re coming by car the Potgietersingel car park is very close by and free after 8pm.

They do a nice cheese fondue and have several vegetarian dishes but meat-eaters are not forgotten! With a bit of luck the weather will be good enough for us to sit outside in their lovely courtyard.
